UPCOMING THERAPEUTIC OFFERINGS

Women's Yoga for Healing

 New Moon Offering

featuring Live Music by Mariah McCammond

Monday, 5/22/17, 7-8:30pm

148 S 4th Avenue - Tucson Yoga

This women's only therapeutic practice places an emphasis on women's health and offers techniques to align oneself with the natural rhythmic forces of our bodies, our environment, and our Universe.

When we don't incorporate Nature and her rhythms into our day-to-day lives, we are ultimately going against Source, we don't feel well physically, mentally, or emotionally, and don't know why.  Our Universe, planet, ecosystems, human bodies, and the systems inside of our bodies are all naturally compatible members of a rhythmic network. It's time to "re-member" these rhythms in order to once again tap into Nature - Source's "alignment" solution for ideal function and flow.

Beginners are welcome, this practice is appropriate for ALL LEVELS, WOMEN ONLY.

I'm partnering up with my soul sister Kim Knebel to offer another seasonal Mala-Making workshop! Come enjoy the afternoon with us and celebrate the Summer Solstice crafting a Mala for yourself or as a gift for a loved one.

What’s been growing for you? What no longer is producing the fruit you desire? What has outgrown its usefulness and needs to be let go of?  What do you wish to nurture and grow into its fullness?  What do you want to tend to see bear fruit? Now is a wonderful time to sit with such questions.

This offering includes a restorative yoga practice led by Tiffany to relax you and allow you to look inward to find what it is you want to nurture and grow. Kim will then help you weave that intention into your very own, hand-crafted Mala. We will chant Mantra together and everyone will receive a set of Mantra Cards to take home and work with along with your Mala. Mala kits include traditional rudraksha beads, choice of 6 gemstone beads, spacers and tassel.

*Additional gemstone beads, upgraded spacers and charms are available for purchase at the workshop, if desired. Please bring extra cash for add-ons. Credit card accepted for purchases over $10 at time of workshop.

Find Healing this February with these Upcoming Therapeutic Yoga Love Offerings!

In Chapter Six of his book The Periodic Table of Spiritual Elements, author Barry John Johnson discusses the Spiritual Element of Equanimity and explains that through quiet and Stillness within, our Divinity becomes known and we gain access to all good stuff that comes with that; we get Heaven on Earth.

Why would we want this scenario not to happen?  Maybe we avoid it by holding chaos, conflict, drama and the latest gossip because we feel unworthy of our own Divinity at some level. At some point, however, acting (or reacting) in a particular way becomes a choice.

Equanimity at least gives us an opportunity to see what is occurring within, making our choices known.

Why choose chaos? To deny the natural bubbling up of Equanimity that comes with a quieted mind is to deny our true nature and the Divine.

Come, join me for a quiet practice TODAY that will offer you the space to re-establish your connection with this innate quality of your Soul's Divinity.

“Om. With loose flowing tresses, poised with equanimity, with the radiant half moon upon her head, her three eyes are shining like the full moon.” – Durga Puja

We live with the confusion that we believe ourselves to be this body and attached to every thought of this mind, and we feel burdened by the difficulties of the world.
We forget that, in actuality, we are Divine beings in a Divine world, and that we have a Divine purpose.

Durga is “She Who Removes All Confusion,” or the “Durgam” from our lives. Mother Durga is the Goddess who guides us beyond all confusion to the place of stillness and clarity. There we can perceive Durga’s infinite energy in all aspects of creation.

Come, join Mariah McCammond and myself THIS MONDAY NIGHT for our Full Moon Women's Yoga for Healing offering where we will invoke the Great Mother Goddess for Inner Strength and Protection.

When our bodies are feeling uneasy, they give us messages. The purpose of these messages is to inform us that something inside doesn't feel right and it needs our attention. If these messages go unanswered, over time, they evolve into the symptoms of trauma. The symptoms of trauma can be stable, that is, ever-present. They can also be unstable, meaning that they can come and go and be triggered by stress. Or they can remain hidden for decades and suddenly surface. Usually, symptoms do not occur individually, but come in groups. They often grow increasingly complex over time, becoming less and less connected with the original trauma experience.

Come, join Tiffany for this upcoming therapeutic yoga series that will encourage you to let these symptoms have their natural flow so they can then begin to diminish and resolve. In this practice you will experience trembling, shaking, vibrations, waves of warmth, fullness of breath, slowed heart rate, relaxation of the muscles, and an overall feeling of relief, comfort, and safety.

When everything is comfortable and pleasant, human beings become complacent. It is being under pressure that makes us sit up and think of what has yet to be done to reach our goals. Awareness is not increased one iota unless we are put under pressure.

Pains in the neck are either self-created or come from others who will not bend to our will. The surrender that we must make in our asana practice is a symbol for the surrender of our Self-will to the Most High.

As the physical pressure is released, the body comes into balance; similarly, as the ego lets go of the weight that, in it's self-importance, it has imagined, the burden is removed. As convictions and strong opinions allow themselves to be swayed, we realize that there is no up, there is no down. The authority of the Self-will is undermined.

Come, join me in a practice that will allow you to surrender to the inevitable ebb and flow of life. As you let go into a space of stillness, giving your physical body a rest, your mind will be soothed by the accompaniment of sweet string guitar melodies offered up by Rich Rodriguez.

Both offerings include a meditation,  restorative & gentle yoga, and yoga nidra. Aromatherapy is added to help alleviate the effects of stress, tension, and anxiety. Come, join us for these upcoming therapeutic Yoga Love offerings!

Women's Yoga for Healing: Full Moonin Cancer

.::Women's Yoga for Healing::.
{Full Moon in Cancer}
featuring Live Harp & Vocals
by Mariah McCammond

MoonDay, 1/9/17, 7-8:30pm
148 S 4th Avenue - at Tucson Yoga Studio

I've chosen to invoke the Hindu Goddess Lakshmi as the theme for tomorrow night's  Women's Yoga Love offering.

Like the natural flow of breath, the natural action of the Lakshmi Shakti expresses itself in the fine balance of giving and receiving. In Vedic times, this idea was expressed through the fire sacrifice (yajna) in which the fruits of the earth were offered into a sacred fire along with mantras and prayers. The fire ritual was both a physical ritual and a metaphor for keeping in the right relationship with the Earth, the ancestors, and society itself.

In the Bhagavad Gita, one of the most potent texts on right living in religious literature, Krishna - Vishnu's avatar - explains the unspoken contract between Humanity, the physical world, and the higher powers of the subtle worlds as a mutuality of giving and receiving. The heavens offer gifts to the earth – both the physical gifts of Sun and rain that make crops grow, and also the subtler gifts of fertility and growth and happiness that we can feel inwardly when we tune into the Soul of the natural world.

In return, human beings conserve the earth and offer back gifts to the Shaktis that play as the world. You give with your body – giving part of your wealth to others, offering service where it is needed. You give with your speech – saying kind words, or sincere praise, or chanting mantra us, or giving blessings. And you give with your mind – maybe through prayer, by dedicating whatever you do to the benefit of others, or perhaps by starting your meals remembering all the living organisms who worked or gave up their lives so that you could eat. You express not only gratitude, but also the hope that the food nourishes you so that you can, in turn, nourish life.

It is in the balance that Lakshmi manifests. Without receiving, you feel dry and undernourished. Without giving, you become narcissistic, arrogant, and entitled. When you can allow yourself to receive with the feeling that you deserve the gifts of life, and then give with the feeling that others deserve them also, you find yourself in an auspicious state of mind, the state where Shri is simply flowing through you. You feel Lakshmi's presence s internal abundance and also as gratitude and I has the desire to bless others. It's then that you can begin to feel Lakshmi's energy as your own.

Come, join me in tapping into the healing energy being offered up by the upcoming Full Moon in Cancer, our first Full Moon of 2017!

Healing Trauma with Yoga - Upcoming Winter & Spring Series

When our bodies are feeling uneasy, they give us messages. The purpose of these messages is to inform us that something inside doesn't feel right and it needs our attention. If these messages go unanswered, over time, they evolve into the symptoms of trauma.

The first symptoms that are likely to develop immediately after an overwhelming event include hyperarousal, constriction, dissociation and denial, as well as feelings of helplessness, immobility, or freezing.

Hyperarousal may take the form of physical symptoms such as an increase in heart rate, sweating, difficulty breathing, tingling or muscular tension. It can also manifest as a mental process in the form of increased repetition of thoughts, racing mind, and worry. If we allow ourselves to acknowledge these thoughts and sensations, in other words let them have their natural flow, they will peak, then begin to diminish and resolve.

When we respond to a life-threatening situation, hyperarousal is initially accompanied by constriction in our bodies and narrowing of perceptions. Our nervous system acts to ensure that all our efforts can be maximally focused on the threat in an optimum way. Constriction alters our breathing, muscle tone, and posture in order to promote efficiency and strength. Blood vessels in the skin, extremities, and internal organs constrict so that more blood is available to the muscles, which are tensed and prepared to take defensive action. At the same time, the digestive system is inhibited. We may also feel numb or shut down.

Dissociation protects us from being overwhelmed by escalating arousal, fear, and pain. It "softens" the pain of severe injury by secreting nature's internal opium, the endorphins. In trauma, dissociation seems to be a favored means of enabling a person to endure experiences that are at the moment beyond endurance.

Denial is probably a lower level energy form of dissociation. The disconnection may occur between the person and the memory or feelings about a particular event (or series of events). We may deny that an event occurred, or we may act as though it was unimportant. For instance, when someone we love dies, or when we are injured or violated, we may act as though nothing has happened, because the emotions that come with truly acknowledging the situation are too painful. In addition, dissociation may be experienced as part of the body being disconnected or almost absent. Frequently chronic pain represents a part of the body that has been dissociated.

If hyperarousal is the nervous system's accelerator, a sense of overwhelming helplessness is its brake. The helplessness that is experienced at such times is not the ordinary sense of helplessness that can affect anyone from time to time. It is the sense of being collapsed, immobilized, and utterly helpless. It is not a perception, belief, or a trick of the imagination. It is real.

Many other symptoms can begin to show up at the same time or shortly after those just discussed.

Come, join me (Tiffany Georgia) for this upcoming therapeutic yoga series that will encourage you to let these symptoms have their natural flow so they can then begin to diminish and resolve. In this practice you will experience trembling, shaking, vibrations, waves of warmth, fullness of breath, slowed heart rate, relaxation of the muscles, and an overall feeling of relief, comfort, and safety.

Healing Matters ~ Upcoming Yoga Love Offerings!

The powerful qualities of attention and intention remind us that WHAT WE THINK WITH FEELING BECOMES REAL TO US.

Whenever we touch someone, we want to be focused on the present (PAYING ATTENTION) and share our attitude of loving kindness (INTENTION), through our contact.

Attention is one of our most valuable resources. Energy follows our attention. Too often, people are ignored, feel left out, and are living with chronic, excessive stress.

Energy follows our intention. Intention is a powerful force, literally translated from Latin meaning "to stretch towards." Intention is the initial bending of your mind toward a target. It is the force that permeates the journey and the goal.

As a yoga therapist, I have the opportunity to ameliorate some of this widespread pain, stress, and negativity by acknowledging and paying attention to my students.

I had such a phenomenal weekend in Yoga Therapy training (with Heath Reed, Massage Therapy & Movement Therapist - www.BodyworkerSeminars.com) learning and practicing new healing techniques and I'm excited to share with you! Come, join me for these upcoming intentional and nurturing Yoga Love offerings ~

Please join me in welcoming Serena Lynn Gabriel for this week's Candlelit Yin Yoga Love as she offers up her sound healing vibrations while I guide you through a nurturing and healing yin yoga journey!

Candlelit Yin with Tiffany
Sound Healing with Serena Gabriel
Thursday, 1/15/15, 7-8:15pm
at The Sea of Glass
330 E 7th StreetVirtually everything on Earth vibrates. The planet itself vibrates. All matter consists of atomic material which is in constant motion. Motion is manifested in everything within the Universe – nothing is at rest – everything moves, vibrates and circles. This motion generates frequencies, which then generate sound.
Whether we hear it, everything has a sound, a vibration all its own. The velocity (frequency) of the movement determines the specific sound.

The Gong is one of man’s oldest therapeutic instruments, and is used in yoga, sound meditation, and vibrational therapy from the distant past to present.

The Gong is an ideal tool for stress reduction, stimulation of the glandular system, and as a facilitator to break up emotional blockages. Sound & music are nutrients for the nervous system. The auditory mechanism is a mega-portal to the brain and sonic tools empower health, learning and productivity.

Due to its nature, the gong resonates all cells of the body simultaneously in a most powerful & effective way. The goal in all healing, meditative, spiritual and transformational pursuits is to raise an individuals’ vibratory frequency, and thereby changing a person’s nature of being, restoring the intrinsic state of balance.

From a sacred geometry viewpoint, a circle – the gong’s basic shape – represents a beginning that has no end. It is ever-expanding potential and represents our connection with the holographic nature of oneness.

Throughout many traditions and cultures, it also stands as symbol for heaven, totality, perfection, unity, eternity, completeness and for inclusive harmony.

Consider the rippling effect of a pebble on a placid lake… and now picture the ripples of relaxing, meditative, soothing and energizing sound waves to reverberate through your entire body.

While water is the dominant element of your body (about 60 – 75% and your brain rests in it), it is also an ideal conductor of the gong’s vibrational and transformative energy.

I'm more than excited to announce the debut of my newest sound healing tool for this week's Yin Yoga Love experience!!!

Please come! Bring your friends, family and yoga lovers!

Empower Tucson Yoga's Warriors For Healing Campaign! DONATE TODAY!

I am more than excited to announce that I have become a part of a fantastic program that is launching this year called Warriors For Healing to reach out to military veterans and anyone who suffers from PTSD!

Helping those who suffer from trauma of any kind - physical, mental or emotional - has been my passion since I discovered the many benefits of yoga myself, as someone who has personally suffered from PTSD. As I continue on my own journey of health, I feel it is my deepest purpose to share the healing gift of yoga with others.

Many of you may know that I am currently in an intensive yoga therapy training program with Inner Vision Yoga that specifically focuses on PTSD, offering yoga as a path to healing. As I expressed, I have personally experienced the many benefits of this program myself and it has changed my entire way of being!

Please help me in this campaign that will enable myself and many other leaders across the nation to cultivate awareness about PTSD and bring yoga to military veterans and anyone who suffers from this life-debilitating condition!

In peace and love, Tiffany 🙏
